Please allow me to thank the many readers of your newspaper who supported my candidacy for Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina on November 7.
We did it!
Almost a million voters agreed with our campaign message that ‘Justice Timmons-Goodson is good for the Court and good for North Carolina!’
Please also accept my heartfelt appreciation to you and your paper for your support and endorsement.
To say I was overwhelmed by the support I received throughout the state is indeed an understatement. I know that our success was due in large part to the grassroots efforts of thousands of individuals in all 100 counties. I will forever remain grateful for their help.
Now that the election is behind us, I look forward to the wonderful opportunity the citizens of North Carolina have given me to render great service in the cause of justice.
I am so proud to have the opportunity to continue to serve the citizens of North Carolina as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. As promised throughout my campaign, I am committed to exercising my 21 years of judicial experience, knowledge and diligent work ethic to every case that comes before me.
During the next eight years, you can depend on me to perform my duties as Associate Justice in a manner that is always mindful of the trust and confidence the voters have bestowed upon me.
